Ann, I totally get the interrupting so you don't loose your thought, so something to consider...type a word or few into the chat, as keyword reminders, maybe. Doesn't help in this format, but it's also not needed, being 1-to-1. ...until next...π
Itβs true Ann, my dad has the master key to storytelling. His stories go everywhere π
I miss you every time you miss fiction cartel! I learn lots from all of you during those streams.
Sometimes I think about asking to sit on the panel to actually participate instead of filling empty seats when people are unable to attend. Although, I think better of it. If I was put on the spot I would either chatter on about nothingness, start an uncontrollable nervous giggle, or possibly pass out under the pressure (but I havenβt done that in a while) plus I donβt have near the experience you all do, or wisdom to share. One day, maybeβ¦π
So, am I just really weird? People struggle to write their middles, and endings, but myself I struggle with the beginning. I get those awesome ideas that trigger writing, but Iβm always right in the middle of the action, pivotal points for the main characters, then an end that needs work but itβs thereβ¦.I think Iβm addicted to the fast paceβ¦.and hurting my characters to make them betterβ¦.
Knowing where to start a story is tricky. You'll figure it out. Nothing wrong with starting where it feels right. Pacing is a big thing, too, and I lean toward genre rules when it comes to that, however I like stories that go place. I want things to happen, so a face pace works for me, too.
Oh good question. I think you should just write it down and save it for later because when I get stuck, I always ask myself "What if?" What if there's an earthquake? (Shogun) What if she dies? What if they don't win?
I do apologize about any issues with the audio...I'm learning.
Having to record through GoBrunch, it sounds one way through my professional headset,...and another through desktop speakers.
...but I'll get it clean and perfect soon.
The POINT is the content, and that is freakin' AWEsome.
Enjoy!
Another good one, thanks!

Hey -- good idea.
I started writing my thought on a pad as we talk.
Have to.
IF they have something to say, I want to hear it!
And I do have all those half-used notebooks I could use. π
Good idea, Neil.

I think you should join me on a podcast, Jessie. The LoF podcast, and let's solve that issue live.
You and me will make the beginning yield to your will...
Then help thousands in the process. π€πππΌππΌ
I am willing to do a podcast with you dad. Absolutely. Talking to you is so much fun!
Whether or not you end up using it is a completely different story π

Remember, Jessie....Ann is the "instigator".
...she knows what she's talking about. π€ͺ

HAH!

What if is a great question for a mind mapping session.
Good call, Ben.
