The question came to mind simply from where life has been taking me.  For the longest time I could not find work in the areas of my talents, so I focused more on the Wanted Hero books and took whatever came my way.  No complaints there, I have been very blessed.  Now I find myself in as close to a dream job one could have, using my talents again, to the extreme.

What do I mean by extreme?

Well, you know I write.  You also know I create comic books and write from the perspective of characters.  Not a big deal if that was it, yet now I find myself living through these characters and building their influence over the internet.  Using those little voices in the back of my mind to encourage people to keep hope, to stretch, to grow and to be more than they are right now….and I’m loving it.

To look at situations, personalities and being able to disengage myself…from myself and look through the eyes of a Gnome, or an Elf, Dwarf or an Immortal and give the answer they would give without tainting it with my own personality?  Isn’t that…wrong??

Yet when the day is over, I go home feeling so happy, calm and content that I have done at least some good in this world that sometimes I just want to throw a rock at.

Life continues to get even better as my job expanded to work with Roger Anthony, who’s not only an international speaker…he does it through ICONIC CARTOONS.  Did I hit some Universal jackpot for crackpots or what!  So these desires and skills get more energy pumped behind them and I get to run at full speed, working in a wonderful environment, working to change the world, to give hope and focus to a cracked society.

So why do I feel so out of place?

I keep coming back to the talk with Kathilynn, when she said “Why are you trying to desperately to fit in, when it’s so apparent that God created you not to?”

There is so much tension in the air and debate over the corruption of our government and the illegal steps the Democrats are willing to take to secure their desires for power and control, it would take a complete and total fool not to see it.

When will we, as the American People, start standing up for our rights and take back these freedoms by uniting our voices and holding our elected officials accountable for their negligence and outright criminal activities?

I have been a fan of Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck for years.  I’m a fan because they tell the truth.  I might not agree on all points at all times, but of all the media, of all the views I have heard over the years, these two men have hit closest to my own personal views, based on principles of freedom and liberty.  Principles my ancestors fought and died for, SO THAT I COULD LIVE A GOOD, SAFE AND PROSPEROUS LIFE…SO LONG AS I WAS WILLING TO DEFEND THOSE SAME LIBERTIES.

When has a government gone too far?

When is it the right of the American People to stand up and say “NO MORE!”

When will we see that if we are not willing to stand up and speak up when the evil is at the doors, pushing its way in to dictate the rest of your life and the lives of your children, we deserve the doom that looms over us!  It’s not too late.  It’s not over.  We can make a difference, but we have to educate ourselves! Ignorance and secrecy are the two key factors that the government counts on…that they NEED to make us succumb to their illegal and evil plans.  The plans of destroying the United States of America.

With the exception of Rap, I’m a relatively open guy, so long as the lyrics aren’t trash.

Yet something hit me in this song I was listening to and it seemed to echo many of the latest pop artist tunes and I wanted to bring this thought out.

Has anyone noticed that the very artists who our kids idolize and desire to emulate, are the same ones we find in the news for drugs, adultery, endless counts of ‘he said, she said’ cheating on boyfriend/girlfriend and violence…while singing songs about love, forever, eternity, we were meat to be…yadda, yadda, yadda???

I heard the phrase “we were meant to be” in this song, right after he admitted he was cheating with another woman, but since they were “meant to be” he should be forgiven as if it never happened?

Maybe after his donkey nuts were put in a vice and crushed to a powder, but even then it wouldn’t be likely. Not if the girl had any brains. But does anyone see this pattern in the music of the day?  This seems to be the theme in much of the youth bands or pop artists. Kids too young to know how to deal with the pimples on their face, let alone understand what ‘love’ actually is. Certainly not ‘eternity’ being sung by a gangbanger who’s life expectancy is closer to 24 than 74.

Tell me I’m not crazy here. Tell me there are smarter people out there than those wanting to emulate the artificial intelligences like Britney Spears or Beyonce who think being good is wearing a cross between their breasts while they shake them like cheap prostitutes in front of our kids!?  Maybe I’m the slow one, I don’t know…but doesn’t this bug anyone but me?

If your a parent or a kid with an opinion on this, I’d really like to hear it…because after unloading this brain fart on my son Evan, he agreed with me fully.  I was quite relieved, especially after reviewing his own iPod playlist (which we share).

I got home at 12:43 am after about 15-16 hours of work and shuffled out the door again with Evan after family scriptures and prayer. Despite the lack of sleep, I was in a good mood. We took uncle Bob’s car and dropped off library materials, then hit the Credit Union.

We waited for it to open and I walked to the male teller. Just a kid of 18. They all look like they’re just out of diapers to me. He smiles and I deposit some checks, then ask for a Cashiers Check. He clickity-clicks the keyboard, smiles again and turns to look at the printer.

Nothing happens.

He clickity-clicks again. Nothing happens.

So he walks across the floor and checks the printer. Pushes some buttons, looks shyly at Jessica, the lovely 18 yr old female teller. Then gives it a small bang with his palm. Nothing. He looks at me embarrassed. “I’m so sorry about this,” he says. I looked at Evan, who was already smiling.

“It’s probably jammed,” I said. “But you won’t be able to fix it buddy, you’re a guy. You need a girl to fix it.”

He gave me with a glazed look as he pulled the trays out and looked all around the machine, tapped more buttons and finally turned sheepishly to Jessica and squeaked, “Um, Jessica–it’s broken.”

This 5′ 3″ girl old who still looks 12, was dashing from place to place, running her booth along with the drive through efficiently. She spun around, sighed, and in one fluid motion pulled out both trays, balanced one on her knee, pulled out the jammed paper (letting it fall to the floor for the yahoo to pick up), slide the trays back into the machine and spun back to her booth with a final push of the start button.

I started laughing.

The kids shoulders dropped a bit as he returned with my Cashiers Check.

“It’s ok buddy,” I said. “Working with all these women, you need to understand their mentality. We look at  woman and say ‘Nice legs, beautiful face, lovely eyes…but when they look at us, they simply glance up and down and think ‘I guess I can work with that’.”

Jessica and the female manager burst out laughing, looking directly at me. I smirked back and said bluntly, “You’re just laughing, because I’m right.” The manager bit her lip, to which I said, “And you know this for a fact because you’re either getting married or have been married.”

She nodded. “Married.”

The whole time my son watched and learned while the whole lesson in female interaction went over this kids head. I don’t believe on the whole that men or women are better or smarter than one another. I just believe that understanding the views of the opposite sex can help us grunts look less like idiots when we really don’t have to. Women usually perfect the art of hiding their shortcomings at an early age.

…I think that’s why they have to vent so much verbally at 2-3am.

Yes, life treats me like a baby treats a diaper...

Ok, I just got off the phone with Kathilynn, and as all of you can see from the date of this post, I had announced that her birthday was coming up. It also says I won’t be available, because I want to spend it with her…right?

Yet I treid to tell her I wanted to go out and she accused me of NOT REMEMBERING!

**sigh**

She’s so sensitive about her birthday…

I wish those who know her and have our phone number would PLEASE give her a call and save my efforts by confirming that I DID IN FACT REMEMBER HER BIRTHDAY! This is a shame I have tried for YEARS to shake from my shoulders and when I finally had a date and event all ready, I’m knocked down.

Ouch.

Ok, ok, so I got her age wrong (she’s a year younger). But I DID remember the birthday!
