SHHHHHHHH!
So Kathi and I went out with the Dilts and Taylors last night to go see Tron Legacy. The guys wanted to go to see the continuation because we were geeks. The women wanted to go to be with their guys because they were…well, girls.
The theater was packed and though I hate the 3D glasses I have to say the experience was worth it this time. I not only enjoyed the movie and was elated by the continuation of the storyline, the music of Daft Punk was brilliant. Of course I have had the album on continuous loop for the past 26 hours. It reminds me of key parts of the Wanted Hero storyline (it’s a Gnome thing).
The effects were awesome, the various digital vehicles were outstanding. I was a tad disappointed there wasn’t more fighting with discs and my only ‘blah’ moment was the nightclub fight. I’ve been in versions of those situations (minus the beautiful brunette in glowing spandex) so it seemed anything but believable. All in all, however, I thought it an extremely fun movie and can’t wait for the DVD so I can complete the set.
The geeks in the theater did growl at Kathi in disapproval as she burst out in laughter when the neon chicks redressed Sam in his new digital duds. She slapped her hand over her mouth as her body shook in hysterics.
…I think it had something to do with leaning over and asking her: “Do you think that outfit comes in a 5XL?”

I have been blogging since 2004. Been a long time [in blogger years at least]. Not only for myself but 46 other blogs, both for my own business and other clients. That’s a lot of writing, many of them daily posts too.
This site is my personal voice. I have wanted to share more of myself and my family and the views I have about any and all aspects of life, especially family and relationships. It’s my hope that something helped you at one time or another.
Certain opportunities to work with special clients have opened up and I have elected to take the work. This means I have to put my personal projects on hold for a few months. As you can probably tell, my entries slowed a bit over the last while–this due to my efforts to obtain these very jobs I’m mentioning.
So, I love you…I will miss you, but I will be back soon.
Taking care of family will always be my #1 Priority, as I hope it is yours.
Hopefully the jobs can be completed and automated enough to open more time than ever before and allow me to jump in with new vigor and passion. If nothing else, I will have new experiences to share.
My goal is to return before my brithday in 2011 (May 27th…presents are always accepted).
Until then, you can find me at BetterAskJaime.com
God Bless.

Share your Holiday Traditions!
This is my two favorite weeks before Christmas. The smell of caramel. The aroma of sweet breads and imported Swiss chocolates. Walking into the kitchen and dining area to find hand made goodies that would impress Willy Wonka himself.
But it’s more than that. The children are smiling and laughing together, no matter what crisis or trouble life may bring during these two weeks. It’s a time when Grandma comes over and spends her days teaching, loving and working with everyone one of the children. Even Carley (2) who can’t seem to get her hands out of the White Chocolate and protests when you want to wash her hands.
It starts with the lights and the Tree we pull out of storage, gingerly wrapped with ornaments crafted with care and passion for the family traditions we have been building for 20 years together. It starts with family prayer and submitting a small scrap of paper that goes into a white infants sock, which represents our gift tot he Savior. It starts with a grounding in belief: that we are a family. That we do, indeed love one another with all our hearts, and having everyone together, safe, healthy and happy is Gods greatest gift to us this season.
I’d love to hear what your family traditions are this time of year.
Read MoreAre you struggling with Blogging?
It’s frustrating to have a few blogs you love and have maintained for years with a dutiful heart, only to set them aside. What makes it even more painful is when the thing distracting you is blogging itself! Imagine that. Blog for love or blog for food in the cupboards. Easy choice for me to make, but it still frustrates me.
So I pondered what my priorities have been and it occurred to me that I have positioned myself all wrong. Just like doing the impossible with Wanted Hero and building readers through relationships and cross-promotion, I should strive to coordinate my blogging efforts. Here’s the idea:
There are people who want to know how to blog. Not just slapping up words, but the SEO, the systems available to promote online and understanding the psychology with readers. I on the other hand love to teach and to empower people so they do NOT have to rely on others–including me. That’s why I loved teaching kids how to make comics, how to public online and why I was paid just under $40K a month to use my blogging skill set for corporations. Yeah, I actually made that.
So why not create a site to empower people, make it dirt cheap (like it should be), fill it with great service and support, then use the few blogs I maintain out of love, not money as the examples!?!
That way I can work on everything I love to do and don’t have exclude the passion for the dollar and everyone wins?
Yeah, I though it was decent idea too. So if you want to see the start of a new (and hopefully enduring project), come on over to www.betteraskjaime.com and watch it grow from here on out.
Have YOU had a struggle to choose between something you love to do and the necessity of making an income?

BREAK OF REALITY
If you live in the state of Utah, take a break this Monday, November 15th and join us in Logan to see what I feel to be ‘a refreshing and long overdue emotional pleasure in music’.
Evan, bless his soul, gave me an album on my iPod and which became my favorite album in under 10 minutes of pushing play.
The only way I can describe my reaction was ‘solid and captivating’, as each climax grabbed my heart and inspired my visual mind to no end. I’m a cartoonist and writer, so when something hits you like this–you grab on and refuse to let go. Experiences similar are too far and few in between.
It is my hope that these amazing, talented men will consider joining with The BIG Lagoon, and allow us to craft a musical aspect of our online culture never before seen. Yes, I’m that impressed with Break of Reality.
So if’ you’re a fan of Break of Reality, post on their blog to have them sign up for the Beta Test team on TBL (www.thebiglagoon.com) and if you DON’T know who these guys are…
Well, get off your butt and get to Logan and the University of Utah, Monday, November 15th at 8pm for their concert.
…Oh, did I mention that the concert was FREEEEEEE?
Freakin waHOOO!
