Looking for a Miracle: Van is Dead

As with any determination to beat a challenge, the opposition you will face always grows. It’s not a bad thing, it’ just is…and we seem to have hit our next challenge:

Working diligently to keep the family going in any way I can and spending time with Kathi forming the complex plot twists of the next WANTED:HERO book and loour only vehicle now decides to give up the ghost. ARRRGH!!!

This is after our last amazing miracle of rent getting caught up by a virtual stranger donating a considerable sum of money to bless us (LOVE YOU)! I’m just wondering if it was silly to wish for a few weeks without another bomb going off. …or at least a few pennies to rub together to take care of the issues that do pop up?

LOL,…not a chance. Remember, there’s always a reason for things happening. The test is in finding out what that reason IS.

I remember I was talking with a dear friend who was shocked at what we have gone through as a family over the past few years. He patted me on the shoulder and said boldly, “Hey, at least you’re at a point where the only direction is UP!”

I laughed so hard, it threw him. With a smirk (one I have fondly developed over the last year), I replied, “You do realize the Devil owns a shovel, right?”

So here we are, with a new problem I actually don’t have a clue how to solve. Wow. Makes me feel like so less of a man here–aren’t we supposed to be genetically programmed to fix stuff? If I touch the van, I’m certain the wheels will fall off…or maybe blow up. I also don’t know anyone who knows about cars. Hmmm.

Maybe God wants me to start losing weight…by pulling a wagon a few miles each direction to get milk and eggs?

…gonna be an interesting week or two.
