It’s frustrating to have a few blogs you love and have maintained for years with a dutiful heart, only to set them aside. What makes it even more painful is when the thing distracting you is blogging itself! Imagine that. Blog for love or blog for food in the cupboards. Easy choice for me to make, but it still frustrates me.
So I pondered what my priorities have been and it occurred to me that I have positioned myself all wrong. Just like doing the impossible with Wanted Hero and building readers through relationships and cross-promotion, I should strive to coordinate my blogging efforts. Here’s the idea:
There are people who want to know how to blog. Not just slapping up words, but the SEO, the systems available to promote online and understanding the psychology with readers. I on the other hand love to teach and to empower people so they do NOT have to rely on others–including me. That’s why I loved teaching kids how to make comics, how to public online and why I was paid just under $40K a month to use my blogging skill set for corporations. Yeah, I actually made that.
So why not create a site to empower people, make it dirt cheap (like it should be), fill it with great service and support, then use the few blogs I maintain out of love, not money as the examples!?!
That way I can work on everything I love to do and don’t have exclude the passion for the dollar and everyone wins?

Super excited grateful and pooped but you have 11 kids so i have nothing to complain about…anyways when you have a moment go check it out and we can go from there…wow your site is gorgeous super impressive and intense…You have so much going on…i want my site to be more mellow and so i do like the style but i need to understand the flow better…

First off, you need to ROMPA as you learn this new set of skills my dear. There is a lot to learn, but it usually comes because we have such great dreams, desires and goals–but not the immediate skills to use tools we see. Sound about right? We all (myself especially) want to run before we walk and it can not only get overwhelming, it can get flat out frustrating too if we aren’t careful.
Good news for you. I have taken a short break from this, my personal blog, to make sure I build the BetterAskJaime.com site to support just what you’re looking for. I want to make sure you have videos up and available to you, so when you have a question, it can be answered in a step-by-step visual way. Then if there are any clarifications, a few simple questions should solidify anything that’s left.
How does that sound?
The basic “fast track” set will have the following:
The first video will show you the basics: How to log in, set all the preferences you’ll want.
The second video will be [even though it should come later] on how to create posts and pages.
The third will be on how to get any theme and plugins you want and install them.
All so you can get up and run as fast as you like. Then, once those are done today and tomorrow (knock on wood), I will start on the specialized videos that will go into the membership area. You, being a client, will get the first month free once I take it live.
So thank you for updating me Mo. Truly. I won’t leave you or anyone else by the wayside if I can help it. Just like we said in the Boot Camp–this is about empowerment. So this site has to be built ASAP…I have too many clients now to spend individual time and give you the value and service I want.
