When looking at the market place for a job, you may want to consider looking at circumstances from outside the box. Try creating global value.
There are always problems during downturns and an economic crisis, which I believe this applies. That means there is also opportunity for problem solvers to walk in and make their mark when traditional methods of business fail. Utilizing your skills, persistence, work ethics, tools, to create a new or better flow of business. Something that increases the value of the overall business by bringing in the dollars.
Then, here’s the clincher, ask for a portion of that increase.
After all, if you have created an increase of business that didn’t exist, why not get a part? This is becoming more acceptable in businesses across the board for two very good reasons:
One, because you created business that didn’t exist in the first place, so you not only created value, you increased profits.
Two, this is based on results, so they have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
Think about how you can increase the value of your position and the value of your company, then start generating multiple streams of income.
